Pokemon Duel for iOS and Android stopping October

Pokemon Duel for iOS and Android stopping October

The Pokemon Company shared that they are closing Pokemon Duel, the mobile game for iOS and Android.  Services will shut down from 31st October so your copy won’t work after that date.

The end of a Duel

Sales of paid items, such as Gems, have ended. You will be able to spend Gems you already possess until the end of the service. For any player who has purchased the Player Pass, the Player Pass will not be renewed any further. Players will not have to make any changes to their accounts.

Starting August 26, you will not be able to check the final results of the Monthly Rankings due to the end of service. Please be aware that you will not be able to get any ranking rewards.

To express our thanks for playing the game, we’ve added a bunch of extras for the remaining months. As of now, you may choose figures from the exchangeable lineup depending on your play history.

All players can get one figure for every 50 League Match duels they’ve played in. Players who have spent any money in the game can earn an extra 50 figures. You can take advantage of this via the Claim Player Pass Figures button in the Shop. Calculations will be made based on your data as of July 26, 2019, at 01:59 UTC. There will be no addition to the number of figures you can get, regardless of the number of duels you play in the future. You will be able to get figures in this way until the end of service.

Other features include the following

  • Added figures available through Material Exchange
We’ve added some figures to Material Exchange, such as Monthly Point Reward and event reward figures. The number of materials or Gems needed for exchange differs by figure.
  • Greatly increased the amount of materials available from Locked Boosters
We’ve greatly increased the amount of materials you can get from Locked Boosters. We hope this will help you get a variety of figures.
  • Halved the opening time of Time Boosters
We’ve cut the normal opening time of Time Boosters in half.
  • Changed Mission Rewards
We’ve changed the rewards you get from Daily Missions and Special Missions.
  • Halved Gem costs
We’ve halved the number of Gems needed when exchanging Gems for plates and for expanding your deck case, figure case, and plate case.
  • Increased the number of Coins you get when exchanging for Coins
We’ve upped the number of Coins you can get when exchanging figures and plates for Coins in the Shop.
  • Gems given out for the Booster Enhancers you have
We’ve given out Gems for the Booster Enhancers usable in Team Matches according to the amount of Booster Enhancers held. They’ve been converted at a rate of 10 Gems per three Booster Enhancers (fractions rounded up).

We are currently preparing to implement a function that will allow you to view your Library when you open the app after service has ended. Library data that has been downloaded ahead of time will be needed for the Library function after service has ended. We’ve added the download function in preparation for implementation of the Library function. The Library function will not allow you to view things like the figures you had, their experience level, and fusion-based upgrading. It’s possible that you will become unable to use the Library function due to OS version upgrades, device change, or other issues—regardless, we will be unable to respond to such issues once service has ended.

Starting July 26, we will be offering special log-in bonuses every week from Thursday at 15:00 UTC to Monday at 14:59 UTC. Log in during each period to get one 3-Day Duel Boost ticket and one 10-Win Enhanced Boost ticket.

In addition, the customary weekly New Week Match will change to a point system and have powered-up rewards. Plus, look forward to cooler rewards from Daily Missions and Special Missions.

Please continue to enjoy Pokémon Duel until the service concludes on October 31, 2019.

Will you miss Pokemon Duel?
