A few months ago at Comic-Con, Nintendo and LEGO put up a 14-foot-tall statue of LEGO King Bowser called “King-Sized.” This was to celebrate the release of a LEGO figure of the same name.

Now, to go along with the release of the figure, LEGO has put out a behind-the-scenes video that shows how the figure was made. This includes the planning stage of designing the building and the building process itself. The figure itself took 3,290 hours and 663,900 bricks to put together.

Bowser, the Big Boss

When you build, show off, and play with LEGO Super Mario, The Mighty Bowser, you can enjoy the king of the Koopas. This buildable figure has a fireball launcher and a button that lets you move Bowser’s head and neck. The spikes on Bowser’s back are made from new LEGO pieces coming out in October 2022. His hands and arms also move.
