SEGA – Project Sonic ’22 announced

Sonic the Hedgehog celebrated its 30th anniversary last year, but Sega is hoping to commemorate the brand even further with the Project Sonic ’22 campaign. Sega’s latest advertising concept is mostly a celebration of all things Sonic in 2022, rather than any specific video games.

Sega is pushing on with Project Sonic ’22 (Two-Two, according to Sega) to keep things going now that the 30th anniversary has passed. The forthcoming Sonic the Hedgehog 2 film and Sonic Frontiers video game are the project’s primary centerpieces, but Sega claims that it is working on a slew of additional projects for the occasion.

About Project Sonic ’22

The primary artwork for Project Sonic ’22 is seen in the picture above. It depicts Sonic wearing a ring that represents a gateway to other realms. Throughout the campaign, the planets on the opposite side of the ring will shift. Sega’s statement “Welcome to the next level” refers to the next 30 years of enjoyment that we may anticipate.

Sega hasn’t said much yet, but expect more information about Sonic the Hedgehog and Project Sonic ’22 later this year.
