Only two months remain till the release of Sonic the Hedgehog 2 in cinemas. With the film’s release approaching, there hasn’t been much footage. In fact, other from the trailer, which premiered at The Game Awards a few months ago, the only information about the film has come in the form of posters and interviews with the film’s production team and actors.
A stunning new video promoting the film has been posted by the official Sonic Movie Twitter account. There isn’t much new footage in the 30-second movie, but there are a few quick images that haven’t been seen before.

Sonic is ready for more freedom now that he’s settled in Green Hills, so Tom and Maddie agree to leave him at home while they go on vacation. But, no sooner had they left, Dr. Robotnik reappears, this time with a new companion, Knuckles, in pursuit of an emerald with the ability to both construct and destroy civilizations. Sonic partners up with his own sidekick, Tails, and sets off on a quest to recover the emerald before it falls into the wrong hands. Jeff Fowler is directing the film, which stars Jim Carrey, James Marsden, and Ben Schwartz.
