Summer Game Fest was previously confirmed to return in 2022, but a date for the actual showcase has now been set. Geoff Keighley, the event’s host and originator, announced today that Summer Game Fest Live! will take place on June 9.
It will be live broadcast on YouTube, Twitch, Twitter, Facebook, and other worldwide platforms.
Look for it to start at the following times:
- 11 a.m. PT
- 2 p.m. ET
- 7 p.m. in the UK
- 8 p.m. in Europe
About Summer Game Fest 2022
Keighley says he’s preparing a “cross-industry exhibition.” There will be “global premieres, trailers, news, and updates from the world’s leading gaming creators and platforms.” Day of the Devs: Summer Game Fest Edition, co-produced by Double Fine Productions and iam8bit, will take place immediately, with an emphasis on “innovative and varied games.”
Keighley has also revealed that fans will be able to see the Summer Game Fest 2022 presentation in select IMAX cinemas. The two parties will also work together later this year for The Game Awards 2022.
Keighley has not yet teased any particular titles for the Summer Game Fest 2022. Metal Slug Tactics and Two Point Campus were mentioned during last year’s event. We also received fresh peeks at Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin, Endless Dungeon, and Evil Dead: The Game.
