Super Mario anime movie 4K remaster

Super Mario anime movie 4K remaster

In 1986, Nintendo released an anime film in Japan. The film, titled “The Great Mission to Rescue Princess Peach,” was only available in Japan. Not only that, but there had only been one run of VHS tapes, making the film, which was largely based on the original Super Mario Bros. game, impossible to locate.

The video has been accessible to see for years, but the quality had been consistently poor. Some fans, however, have been able to restore the anime film to 4K resolution. This high-resolution version is currently available on YouTube.

The new remaster also includes a completely new audio capture that uses the original VHS as a source. According to Femboy Films, “the VHS was initially issued with 2-channel Dolby Surround, which is maintained in the audio capture here.” “This is the closest realistic representation of how the picture would have sounded in theaters, when it was released in 4-channel Dolby Stereo.” There are also new English-language subtitles available, as well as a translation of the anime’s soundtrack.

The Internet Archive has the animation available for download in a number of formats; https://archive.org/details/mario-anime-movie-4k-restoration/%5BFemboyFilms%5D+Super+Mario+Bros+-+The+Great+Mission+to+Rescue+Princess+Peach+%5B16mm+Restore+1080p+H264+FLAC%5D.mkv

Super Mario Bros. – The Great Mission to Rescue Princess Peach is a 1986 comedy-adventure film that roughly follows the events of Super Mario Bros. When Princess Peach escapes from a video game and enters Mario’s reality, King Koopa (aka Bowser) pursues her and kidnaps her, forcing her to return to the Mushroom Kingdom. Mario and Luigi, who work at a grocery shop, are enticed to the Mushroom Kingdom by a figure dubbed Dumpling Dog in order to save the princess. Unusual mishaps arise.
