Super Mario Bros Movie now has an earlier release date

The news that The Super Mario Bros. Movie will have its release date moved forward by a few days in the United States and in 60 other regions across the globe, which will delight fans, was announced by Nintendo and Illumination.

The Super Mario Bros. Movie will now be available in a variety of regions on April 5th, the day it was originally scheduled to be released. The collaborative effort between Nintendo and Illumination was scheduled to make its debut in theaters on April 7th, according to the project’s initial schedule. On March 9 at 2pm PT / 10pm UK time, a special Mario Movie Nintendo Direct will be broadcast, during which the finished movie trailer will be seen for the first time.

Moving to April 5th

Wahoo! The release date of the #SuperMarioMovie has been moved forward to April 5 in the United States and more than 60 other regions across the globe. The film will first be shown in cinemas in Japan on April 28 and then expand to further regions in April and May.

A new animated film based on the Super Mario Bros. universe is being produced by Illumination in collaboration with Nintendo. On April 5, 2023, the movie will be released in North America, and on April 28, 2023, it will be released in Japan.

Chris Pratt stars as Mario, Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach, Charlie Day as Luigi, Jack Black as Bowser, Keegan-Michael Key as Toad, Seth Rogen as Donkey Kong, Fred Armisen as Cranky Kong, Kevin Michael Richardson as Kamek, and Sebastian M. as Kamek. The film was directed by Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic, who also worked together on Teen Titans Go! and Teen Titans

Chris Meledandri, founder and CEO of Illumination, and Shigeru Miyamoto, producer for Nintendo, are both involved in the film’s production. The movie will be distributed all around the globe by Universal Pictures, which will also be a co-financier of the project together with Nintendo.
