Last week marked the first anniversary of Super Nintendo World Japan, which debuted last year at Universal Studios Japan on March 18, 2021.
The park staged a special anniversary celebration ceremony on the day of the anniversary. At the Super Star Plaza, a marching band played the Ground Theme from the original Super Mario Bros., and Universal Studios Japan CEO J.L. Bonnier appeared with Mario and Luigi to thank everyone for their support over the previous year.

About Super Nintendo World
Super Nintendo World is a themed section at Universal Studios Japan that is now being built in Universal Studios Hollywood, Universal Studios Singapore, and Universal’s Epic Universe at Universal Orlando Resort. The section is themed on Nintendo video game titles, notably the Mario brand and its multiple sub-series, as a result of a cooperation between Nintendo and Universal Parks & Resorts.
