The Super Mario Bros. Movie – Game Awards Mushroom Kingdom clip

At The Game Awards 2022 the Super Mario Bros. Movie was attending, that was a given. Keegan-Michael Key, who provides the voice of Toad, stopped by the studio to show us a new video clip. Toad was, as one would expect, the focal of of everyone’s attention here. When Mario first visits the Mushroom Kingdom in the video, he is seen being shown the enormous city that lies inside the kingdom.

The Super Mario Bros. Movie

Illumination and Nintendo are collaborating on the production of a new animated film that will be based on the Super Mario Bros. world. In North America, the movie is scheduled to be released on April 7, 2023, while in Japan, it will be released on April 28, 2023.

The movie is directed by Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic (who worked together on Teen Titans Go! and Teen Titans Go! To the Movies), and the screenplay was written by Matthew Fogel (The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part, Illuminations’ Minions: The Rise of Gru). Chris Meledandri, founder and CEO of Illumination, and Shigeru Miyamoto, a Nintendo employee, are responsible for the creation of the video. The movie will be released all over the world by Universal Pictures, which will also be a co-financier of the project together with Universal Pictures and Nintendo.

The first showing of The Super Mario Bros. Movie is scheduled for April 7th, 2023.
