Nintendo and Universal Studios have also released many official posters for the film, including the main and supporting characters. There are posters for Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Toad, Donkey Kong, and Bowser in particular.
The Super Mario Bros. Movie
A new animated film based on the universe of Super Mario Bros. is being produced by Illumination and Nintendo. The film will be released on April 7, 2023 in North America and on April 28, 2023 in Japan.
The movie, directed by Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic (collaborators on Teen Titans Go!, Teen Titans Go! To the Movies) from a screenplay by Matthew Fogel (The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part, Illuminations’ Minions: The Rise of Gru), stars Chris Pratt as Mario, Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach, Charlie Day as Luigi, Jack Black as Bowser, Keegan-Michael Key as Toad
The movie is created by Illumination founder and CEO Chris Meledandri and Nintendo’s Shigeru Miyamoto.
