Doug Bowser; no Nintendo 3DS during E3 2018

Before the E3 started, Nintendo made it clear that the focus during Nintendo Direct would be Nintendo Switch titles, not Nintendo 3DS titles.

There might be another possibility that some titles were shown during the Treehouse Livestream, but in the end it was also fully focused on the Nintendo Switch. The Nintendo 3DS was finally nowhere to be seen …

Focus on Nintendo Switch

Doug Bowser, senior vice president of sales and marketing for Nintendo of America, made a statement about the decision to focus solely on Nintendo Switch-ttiels with Club Nintendo. Doug Bowser had the following to say:

We really wanted to focus on the Nintendo Switch here. We felt that we had so much to show. You have been on the trading floor, you have seen all kinds of games, not only from Nintendo, but also from our third-party providers. We wanted to be sure that we gave enough attention to the Nintendo Switch. It is a phenomenon at the moment, and the platform is constantly growing, we wanted to make sure that we gave enough recognition on the exhibition floor.

Nintendo actually has more plans for the Nintendo Switch and therefore decided not to show any upcoming Nintendo 3DS titles. However, Nintendo certainly has something in store for us in the future.

But that will not only apply to the Nintendo 3DS, we suspect!
