The annoying bug with Animal Crossing: New Horizons that prevented balloons from spawning under certain conditions is now fixed.
In the blink of an eye, Nintendo and the Animal Crossing development team have pushed out a patch to fix the bug. Details about this patch are available on Nintendo’s Japanese website

Balloon Bug
According to an extensive post covering the issue on Reddit, the “It’s Raining Treasure” Nook Miles achievement has a bug associated with it where Balloons will entirely cease to appear and fly across your island when the 300 Balloons Shot milestone has been reached.
Multiple players have confirmed that refusing to ‘accept’ the “It’s Raining Treasure” Nook Miles achievement by not claiming the rewards doesn’t seem to change anything and balloons will not spawn regardless.
What’s even worse was that this glitch has an impact on the current Bunny Day event too as Sky Eggs can only be obtained from shooting down Egg Balloons. Furthermore, balloon presents are one of the primary ways to find new Bunny Day DIY crafting recipes.
But luckily all seems fixed now!
