Atlus – No plans on bringing Persona 5 Strikers Demo west

Atlus confirmed Persona 5 Strikers would be heading to the west on February 23rd 2021 on Nintendo Switch.

When the game first released for Japan, it received a free demo via the Japanese Switch eShop. Unfortunately, it seems that there are currently “no plans” to release a localized version of this demo for the western release.

This news comes via RPG Site staff member Cullen Black, who reached out to Sega’s communication manager for Atlus West Ari Advincula for comment about the localization:

When asked if there were plans to bring the demo that was seen in Japan for both PS4 and Switch, I was told that unfortunately there were none.  I hope this changes as we get closer to launch, but thankfully there isn’t that much time until we’ll all be able to get our hands on the game.

Advincula mentioned that the English recording for the localization was handled remotely due to the ongoing pandemic, although RPG Site states that this does not seem to have affected the dub’s quality.

Their article also confirms that Japanese voiceover will also be available for those who prefer that option.
