Balan Wonderworld – Poor debut sales in Japan, fails worldwide in charting

Balan Wonderworld made it’s debut on Nintendo Switch and other platforms, although it was ultimately met with rather lukewarm reception from both critics and players.

The poor reception of the game has since been backed up by new sales figures coming out of Japan. According to some reports, Balan Wonderworld only managed to sell less that 2,100 copies in Japan during the first week.

And it also failed to break the Top 30 on the Nintendo Switch eShop in Japan, North America, and Europe.

All in all, Balan Wonderworld‘s performance likely comes as a big disappointment to many who were looking forward to the brand new 3D platformer by Sonic creators Yuji Naka and Naoto Ohshima.
