About Banjo-Kazooie

It seems like a strange combination: a game starring a large, silly honey bear called Banjo who wears tight yellow shorts and carries a boisterous, red-crested breegull in his bright blue knapsack.

All of the parts fit in Banjo-Kazooie, Rare’s 3D precursor to Banjo-Tooie, thanks to the inventive and quirky guys at Rare. The plot begins when Gruntilda kidnaps Banjo’s adorable younger sister, Tooty, to serve as a test subject for her beauty-stealing device.

With his loyal sidekick Kazooie tucked in his bag, Banjo rushes to the rescue. To conquer the various barriers in Gruntilda’s enormous lair, the bear and bird combo must work together constantly. Banjo’s physical strength comes in helpful for thrashing adversaries, while Kazooie’s locomotive adaptability allows the duo to explore the globe for the missing parts to the place’s puzzles. If commanding a strange bear-bird combination isn’t enough, gamers may seek out witch doctor Mumbo Jumbo for magical changes.

Banjo and Kazooie can learn over 20 different moves, and they’ll need them all to go through Gruntilda’s Lair’s nine pleasure-filled realms.
