Bayonetta 1 – Physical release delayed in Europe and the UK

The original Bayonetta was supposed to come out today as a standalone physical game for Nintendo Switch, but there’s been a bit of a hiccup in Europe and the UK. On social media, Nintendo said, “We now plan to release the physical version of Bayonetta on My Nintendo Store only in the first half of October.”

So far as we know, everything in North America has gone as planned. You can get a copy right now at a store like Amazon.

About Bayonetta

A witch comes back to life in a coffin at the bottom of a murky lake. Bayonetta is an epic game that you can play on Nintendo Switch anytime, anywhere.

When it first came out in 2010, the first chapter of the Bayonetta saga was a memorable introduction to “climax action,” an explosive mix of fast-paced action and saucy style. Bayonetta has a gun in each hand and one on each foot. She uses combo moves that are as beautiful as they are deadly to kill her enemies.

Dodging enemy attacks at just the right time will let you activate Witch Time. Once it’s on, your opponents will be slowed down and helpless against your barrage of kicks, punches, and bullets. You can then kill them with a powerful Torture Attack. Bayonetta will not be stopped by an angel.
