Bayonetta 3 – details uncovered

A Bayonetta 3 classification listing has given us a few hints about the story and seems to confirm that there will be leaderboards.

Australia gave the Nintendo Switch-only game a rating in the middle of June. As part of that, we learn who the biggest threat in the game is and what the whole journey is about.

Bayonetta 3 details

Bayonetta 3 is an action-adventure game in which human characters go through a series of fantasy settings and fight monsters called Homunculi and a bad guy named Singularity. To stop Singularity from destroying the known worlds, players must get to an island called Thule.

Aside from the story bits, the Australian classification also says that there will be online leaderboards. Nintendo and PlatinumGames haven’t said anything official about what they have planned yet. With Bayonetta 2, you could team up with a friend to fight online, and you could also do this with wireless multiplayer.

About Bayonetta 3

The witch is back and stronger than ever before!

In a new, over-the-top climax action game for Nintendo Switch, Bayonetta moves through many different places. The main character, Umbra Witch, has a wicked new outfit and what look like familiar pigtails. She must fight a mysterious evil with her guns and Witch Time ability to slow down time. This time, Bayonetta’s sights are set on bioweapons made by humans called Homunculi that are trying to take over.

Fight your way through Tokyo’s streets, China’s mountains, and many other places! Along the way, you’ll run into a whole bunch of Bayonettas, each one cooler than the last. You’ll also cut and kill as Viola, a sassy witch-in-training who fights with a sword and her friend, the demon Cheshire, who is a bit unpredictable. Find out what will happen to Bayonetta and if this strange group can really save the real world.

Bayonetta 3 for Nintendo Switch will come out on October 28, 2022. This is almost five years after it was announced at The Game Awards 2022.
