Bayonetta 3 – Mature Rating and In-Game Purchases

Nintendo added new information about Bayonetta 3 to the official page for the game.

Rated M for Mature

The official eshop page for Bayonetta 3 has been updated with a new rating from the ESRB, as Reddit user XDitto pointed out. The game has been rated “M,” which means “Mature,” as expected, because it has “Violence, Blood and Gore, Partial Nudity, and Strong Language.”

Still, the game isn’t listed on the ESRB’s official website, so it’s not clear if this is the game’s final rating.

More details

Notably, the tag also says “In-Game Purchases” at the bottom, which suggests that it will get more content that can be bought after it comes out. This could be anything from DLC to skins, and we’ll probably have to wait for more information from Nintendo or Platinum Games to find out what it is.

About Bayonetta 3

The witch is back and stronger than ever before!

In a new, over-the-top climax action game for Nintendo Switch, Bayonetta moves through many different places. The main character, Umbra Witch, has a wicked new outfit and what look like familiar pigtails. She must fight a mysterious evil with her guns and Witch Time ability to slow down time. This time, Bayonetta’s sights are set on bioweapons made by humans called Homunculi that are trying to take over.

Fight your way through Tokyo’s streets, China’s mountains, and many other places! Along the way, you’ll run into a whole bunch of Bayonettas, each one cooler than the last. You’ll also cut and kill as Viola, a sassy witch-in-training who fights with a sword and her friend, the demon Cheshire, who is a bit unpredictable. Find out what will happen to Bayonetta and if this strange group can really save the real world.
