About Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon

Long before this student of the shadow arts would become known as Bayonetta, she embarked on a perilous trek into the Avalon Forest, which was beyond limits to her. Next to her was Cheshire, the very first demon she had ever summoned, who was holding Cereza’s plush toy. Explore the perilous terrain of the woodland while taking on the roles of both Cereza and Cheshire as you explore for a way to rescue Cereza’s mother.

Take control of both Cheshire and Cereza in order to overcome challenges and defeat enemies.

There is a valuable lesson to be learned in every compelling narrative, isn’t there? In this story, Cereza and Cheshire work together to defeat faeries and figure out the solutions to the difficulties they face. Cereza may be moved about using the Left Joy-Con controller, and her power can be used to bind foes. You can slice and chew enemies by moving Cheshire around with the Right Joy-Con controller.

When you wander through the enchanted, fairytale-like Avalon Forest, the pages of Cereza’s narrative will unfold before you.

The Avalon Forest has a stunning appearance despite its wild and dangerous inhabitants. Every fresh region gives off the impression that it was painstakingly painted by hand. The vividly painted pages of a storybook are used to tell the fully narrated tale sequences included inside the book. In this charming environment, you should definitely take the time to stop and smell the flowers, but you shouldn’t linger for too long since the forest has a penchant for lost witches.

In addition to the playable demonstration, there are now now two brand new trailers for Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon that can be seen below. The first one provides a synopsis of the tale. The second is a more broad summary, but is only accessible in Japanese presently – we’ll swap in the English version if and when it’s released.

On March 17, 2023, Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon will be released on the Nintendo Switch platform. You may pick up the demo on the eShop.
