Best-selling console for 24th consecutive month

NPD Group in the US noted the Nintendo Switch outperformed both the Playstation 5 and the Xbox Series X in the month of November.

It also marked the 24th consecutive month that Nintendo Switch was the best-selling console in the United States.

Shortages in next-gen

Last month, Nintendo shifted a whopping 1.35 million consoles but it’s worth noting that the next generation of consoles both suffered supply shortages; there was just simply a gargantuan demand for the hardware with many pre-orders being whisked up way ahead of launch day for both.

Nick Chavez, Nintendo of America’s senior VP of sales and marketing

We continue to see unprecedented demand for the Nintendo Switch, and we are pleased that people of all ages and gaming skill levels will be experiencing Nintendo Switch this holiday and beyond,

With both Sony and Microsoft seeing tremendous success with their respective consoles the race is on to satisfy demand with more stock and to get consoles to waiting fans.

Personally I was only able to secure a Xbox Series X last week. And this is my first Xbox at all, so yeah I’m loving it but will always remain Nintendo focused first and Xbox oriented second.
