Bethesda’s Todd Howart; lots more to come!

Since the launch of the Nintendo Switch, Bethesda has released a nice collection of games.

Piece of Bethesda history

Last year they brought The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim to the Nintendo Switch, which made the game playable on a handheld for the first time. Shortly after, Doom followed, and Wolfenstein II was released today.

During the last E3 presentation she also announced that Fallout Shelter can be downloaded, and that the release of The Elder Scrolls: Legends is planned for next year.

Bethesda is pretty close with Nintendo right now.

Gamereactor recently interviewed Todd Howard. When asked if there were any interests to bring Fallout games to Nintendo Switch, he said:

Well, there is certainly interest. It is not just something that we are currently working on. We think the Nintendo Switch is a great platform; It was the first time that we worked a lot with Nintendo for Skyrim.

It was a great experience and we will definitely do more in the future, but for now that will not be Fallout 4.

Also informed Mr. Howard are located from the Nintendo Switch itself;

I love the Switch. When Nintendo came to us, we were one of the first to show them the Nintendo Switch. So I was able to play with it very early, and I immediately thought “this is unique, it is not just a handheld, it is also a console”. it is also typically Nintendo.

I think a lot of people associate Nintendo with the Wii or the Wii U … But Nintendo’s main audience was always that of the Gameboy, or the DS. I also love the controllers.

When the Switch came out, we were early on as developers, and on the one hand we were lucky that it was such a popular system, but we also felt strongly that it was going to be even more popular. I really like Zelda. The Switch was in the beginning a bit of a Zelda device when it came out, but Mario is also great, and of course many other games.

For the time being no Fallout games on the Nintendo Switch. We do know that Bethesda is enthusiastic about the Nintendo Switch, and that they have a lot more in store for us!

What do you think that can be?
