Biomorph, an action-packed 2D souls-like Metroidvania game, was announced by Lucid Dreams Studio. It will come out sometime in 2023 on Nintendo Switch.
About Biomorph
Biomorph takes place in a huge, hand-drawn 2D world full of enemies.
In Biomorph, players use their skills to explore a big, different world. Solve puzzles and platforming challenges, fight dangerous monsters, and take their forms to use their powers. But be careful, because every creature you defeat can come back with new and even scarier abilities.
Players have to rebuild the city of Blightmoor and make friends with the people who live there to learn more about their pasts and the history of the city. Players will level up their characters as they fight through the large areas around the city and collect new skills, mementos, and blueprints. The journey will show our hero some surprising and scary things about his past.
Features
- Kill the enemies and take their shape to play as them. Players will be able to use their skills to fight other enemies or their abilities to get around in places that haven’t been explored yet.
- Fight through a tough AI system where creatures you’ve already fought unlock new powers when you go back to the same areas of the game.
- Explore a huge, non-linear world with 16 different environments that are all connected and can be explored in any order. There are optional boss fights, strange NPCs, and tons of secrets and upgrades to reward the most daring explorer.
- You can choose how you want to fight by using a variety of melee and ranged weapons, each of which has its own upgrade tree, to hit and shoot enemies.
- By equipping and mixing different unique skills that you can level up, you can make different builds that fit your play style.
- Change how Blightmoor, the game’s main hub, looks to make it your own and feel more at home.
