Cassette Beasts has a new trailer that highlights the game’s “Fusion” gameplay mechanism. Players may use the functionality to combine any two monsters.
What is Fusion?
The Fusion system in Cassette Beasts enables the player to mix any two monster forms from the 120 available in the game to create over fourteen thousand distinct combinations. Fusion functions as a brief evolution during combat, combining your player character and a selected (human) partner into a single monster form. From that point on, until you un-fuse them, the two characters function as one, with merged elemental kinds, attributes, and access to both sets of moves. Some of your opponents have this skill as well, so you’ll have to think outside the box to win!

You’ll need to explore every inch of the island and record creatures on your trusty cassette cassettes to obtain their powers in order to find your way home!

Residents of Harbourtown, New Wirral, prefer to fight fire with fire when faced with the continual danger of monster assaults. Record a monster to tape, then play it back to see it take on its fighting form!
Combine monster forms!
Getting close to your buddy has advantages–you may combine your talents to get an advantage in combat while changed! Any two monster forms may be combined to create new fusion forms that are unique and fully animated.
Explore a diverse open world.
Certain monster skills are usable when in human form. You’ll need them to move around, solve puzzles, and find dungeons. Glide, fly, swim, climb, sprint, or magnetically transform!
Travel with a wide group of human friends.
Never fight by yourself! To become a better team, form ties, spend time together, and assist your chosen partner in completing personal objectives. How well you can fuse is determined on the quality of your relationship!
Master a complex warfare system.
Use elemental chemistry to add additional benefits or debuffs to your assault, or even change your opponent’s elemental type!
Cassette Beasts is presently in production for the Nintendo Switch, but no release date has been confirmed.
