Chocobo GP – Vehicles detailed, more characters revealed

Square Enix released some fresh information regarding Chocobo GP, as well as some new character highlight clips.

The new information pertains to the many vehicle kinds accessible in the game. Each character will be able to pick between three distinct types: Standard, Speed, and Grip, each with its own set of features and visual alterations. The Mysidia Rabbit is White Mage Shirma’s regular vehicle, and she also has the Mysidia Rabbit Type-S (Grip model) and Mysidia Rabbit Type-R as options (Speed model).

Prepare for a new racing adventure with a cast of dozens of your favorite Chocobo characters, each with their own special skills and variations. As you drift over numerous recognizable courses in online and offline multiplayer modes, equip Magicites and take out the competitors. Compete in events to become the Grand Prix’s reigning champion!

MODES

Adventure through the campaign to unlock characters and courses in Story Mode.

  • Races in Series – Drift and boost your way through four courses in a row to get the greatest score – either online or locally with 2-player split screen.
  • Time Attack — Compete against the ghosts of other players – or your own – from across the globe to see how quickly you can travel.
  • Custom Races – Create your own insane challenge by deciding how many courses and Magicite to include in your Custom Race — you can even invite pals to test it out, or share your Joycons with a buddy for 2-player local fun!
  • Chocobo GP Mode: Compete in an online knock-out competition against up to 64 people to show you’re the greatest racer – the awards will vary with each season pass!

Chocobo GP will be released for Nintendo Switch on March 10th, 2022.
