About Clunky Hero
A dreary peasant by the name of Rufus was leading an unremarkable existence in a town located in a remote part of the world. It was his wife, Brunilde, who ran the household; she was a vivacious, witty, and intelligent lady; nevertheless, you probably wouldn’t describe her as “beautiful.” There was peace and contentment in the hamlet until one day, when the Evil One was reawakened by an accident involving some type of sorcery and began to dispatch his henchmen across the community to carry out heinous deeds against the locals. The abduction of Brunilde was perhaps the most heinous of these crimes. She was ripped from Rufus’s grasp and placed in a cell inside the castle that belonged to the Evil One. She has been changed into a doll girl with blond hair and a duck face, and she now spends all of her time looking at herself in a portable mirror.
Rufus fashioned a helmet out of a bucket and chose a broom as his weapon of choice in his dogged pursuit to reclaim his ex-girlfriend. Everyone now refers to him as the CLUNKY HERO, yet he might very well be the only chance we have of vanquishing the villain who nobody wants to identify by name. Right now, Rufus is on his way to rescue not only his wife but also the whole community!
Clunky Hero is a story-driven, platformer-based metroidvania game featuring elements of RPG and Hack’n’Slash, as well as a great deal of comedy. Clunky Hero is a platformer game that has a funny storyline, allows you to talk with characters, complete side quests, find and buy items, change weapons and wearables, and has great hand-drawn-looking backgrounds presented in a very comical manner.
