At The Game Awards 2022, it was announced in an official capacity that a new Crash Bandicoot game is going to be released in the not too distant future. The renowned heroes and villains of the Crash world compete against one another in a 4v4 team-based tournament called Crash Team Rumble.
About Crash Team Rumble
The goal of this competition is to see which team can collect more wumpa fruit than the other. Each hero has their own set of unique powers and abilities, which they may use in conjunction with one another to achieve their team’s goals of defeating the other team, protecting their own wumpa bank, and seizing important areas across the map.
Regarding the gaming consoles, it is only planned to be released on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S at this time.
The Nintendo Switch was not mentioned, but considering that other recent Crash products have been converted to the Nintendo Switch, it is not out of the question that Crash Team Rumble might see a release on the Nintendo Switch at some point in the future.
