According to Kapu, a dataminer, the latest Nintendo Switch update apparently added SNES games to be included for the service in the upcoming future.
I was finally able to look around NES Online's strings a bit myself and noticed the sheer amount of SNES games planned.

More systems
Kapu is not the only one diving in and finding things out. OatmealDome shared he found more Nintendo classic console emulators aboard the NES Switch app. Four emulator types have been datamined:
- Kachikachi (NES Classic)
- Canoe (SNES Classic)
- Hiyoko (???)
- Count (???)
I was looking through the NES Switch app with @KapuccinoHeck and @Simon1844. I found four emulator types:
Kachikachi (NES Classic)
Canoe (SNES Classic)
Hiyoko (???)
Count (???)This could mean there will be two new Classic consoles and/or three new consoles for Switch Online.

This might mean Nintendo could be planning to roll these out soon to make the Nintendo Switch Online service a bit more appealing than it currently is.
What systems are you hoping for?
If the emulators are limited to Nintendo Systems, which they logically might be we would expect a Game Boy X emulator (supporting basically all Gameboy options) and dare we say a Nintendo 64 emulator. But that is just pure speculation at this point. For all we know it could be a Nintendo DS emulator. What do you think?
