Destructoid cought up with Steve Filby of Motion Twin at PAX West to chat to him about how Dead Cells has been performing.
Filby stated that the beloved indie title has now shifted an incredible 2.4 million copies and that sales of the game specifically on Switch are “insane” and “completely ridiculous.” He says that the game really lends itself to the platform.
Who’s the boss update
And Dead Cells just keeps on growing. Now in it’s 14th update it still gives new things to do;
The Who’s the Boss Update patch brings 7 new weapons (one for each of the five bosses of Dead Cells, one for a certain really challenging fight, and a mystery one) thematically tied to Dead Cells’ bosses. Beat them and claim their weapon as yours.
In addition to the new weapons, we welcome 6 new mobs – also thematically tied to the bosses – in the family. We hope you will love them as much as we do!

Dead Cells is a must have!
Well we can only agree with that fact. Currently we have roughly 200 hours spend on the game. And we still have not done everything yet. It simply is that massive and highly addictive!
