Scar’s Kingdom

In “Scar’s Kingdom,” the Sunlit Plateau, a famous savannah, is in danger! The Pillar of Nurturing, which used to be the key to keeping the Plateau green and healthy, has dried up and is now blocked by dark and mysterious magic. To bring the Plateau back to life, you’ll have to work with Scar, who was trapped while The Forgetting destroyed Dreamlight Valley and tried to take over the Pride Lands. You might also want to bring your Royal Pickaxe, because you’ll be going to a new area deep in the Plateau’s mines to fix the Pillar of Nurturing and find the source of the problem, all while dealing with Scar’s less-than-honest intentions.

The Villain Star Path is introduced.

In addition to Scar’s Kingdom content, you’ll find a new Star Path on the Events page. This one has a bad vibe. You will need to show your dark side and make friends with the bad guys who live in the Valley, or at least hang out with them. As you do your job for the event, you’ll get tokens that you can use to buy special items based on Halloween and Disney villains. It can be good to be bad sometimes.

Seasonal Content

With Halloween coming up, there are new things in the Scrooge Shop and new things you can craft at your workbench. We also have some tricks and treats planned. Stay tuned for more news soon.

Changes Made by the Community

With all the new story, seasonal, and Star Path content in Update 1, we wanted to take a moment to highlight some of the changes we’ve made to the game based on feedback from the community. During Early Access, it’s very important for our team and the future of the game to hear what our passionate Community has to say. We’re so grateful to everyone who has taken the time to tell us what they think, whether it’s about their own experiences or ideas for new features. Here are some of the changes and additions you can look forward to in Update 1:

We changed the way lightning looks in the game because many players had trouble seeing it.

We hope that now everyone can enjoy the storms in the game. Plants that get watered by rain will stay watered after the rain stops. This means that even your plants will enjoy the rain more now.

Prepare to look like Ariel and match your hair to even more of your outfits. We’ve given you more hair color choices to play with.

We know how much you love your pets, so we’ve added a way for you to interact with them! Go give your pets some attention for following you around while you planted 99 Okra. They deserve it.

Donald Duck has finally figured out how to walk on land. You’ll notice that he’s less clumsy and less likely to fall down and throw a fit when he does.

Remember the tool for making Avatars? You told us that you liked the photo mode, so we added many of the same features to Disney Dreamlight Valley. We’re excited to see all of your new pictures.
