Square Enix has opened the official site of Dragon Quest Builders 2, with a lot of new information popping up.
The game will carry the full title of Dragon Quest Builders 2: The God of Destruction Malroth and the Vacant Island in Japan. A whole mouth full!
Multiplayer for up to four players has been confirmed, but in what form is still unknown. We do know that all players must have a copy of the game.
About Dragon Quest Builders 2
In the game you are the Builder, a builder with the miraculous power to tinker. It is said that the ancestor of his ancestors ancestor was a legendary builder who once liberated the world from darkness.
The protagonist, however, is only a novice builder and will therefore rely heavily on the “Builderscroner”. Just like in the first part it is possible to play a male or female character.
Dragon Quest Builders 2 is a block-making RPG where you can enjoy both a great adventure and building in a sandbox-like world. By breaking parts of the world you get blocks that can be used to build tools, buildings and facilities. By improving your building skills, the protagonist will become stronger and the range he or she can explore will increase.
You can make your adventure more comfortable by creating facilities such as bedrooms and dining rooms. You can also get valuable materials by beating monsters
At the beginning of the story, the protagonist washes up on the “Vacant Island”. This island, where almost nothing can be found at the moment, will be the basis of your adventure. It is now up to the Builder to rebuild the island. However, it is still a mystery how the protagonist ended up on this uninhabited island.
About The God of Destruction Malroth and the Vacant Island
The subtitle of Dragon Quest Builders 2 contains a surprising name, namely “God of Destruction Malroth”. This evil god appeared for the first time in Dragon Quest II: Luminaries of the Legendary Line as final boss. According to the official site, Malroth will fulfill a special role in the story.
