About Dragon Quest Treasures

Take Down Your Enemies Together with Monsters

On the floating islands of Draconia, where monsters are free to roam, Erik and Mia search for treasure in Dragon Quest Treasures. Some of them are hostile and will attack Erik and Mia at any time. Thankfully, the siblings have a group of dependable monster buddies that can defend them from any attacks.

Up to three monsters from Erik and Mia’s group are available to join them on their excursions.

Use your monster friends to repel enemies! Pressing a button is all it takes to attack and avoid being attacked.

Battle is nothing to fear when you have monsters on your side!

Though seemingly straightforward, the action moves quickly! Your AI-controlled monsters will confront an adversary in battle to the best of their ability if you only approach them. You are free to enjoy the combat since there are no challenging controls.

When you are looking for treasure and a hostile creature finds you, it will attack right away!

Let the conflict begin! Your monsters will choose the strategy that will help them win the battle.

If you succeed, you’ll get experience points, currency, and even equipment as a reward! With the help of their Dragon Daggers and catapults, Erik and Mia may participate in the battle, or they can stand by and observe while their monsters struggle.

Unnoticed, creep up on your adversary to launch a sneak strike that does a ton of damage.

You may even let your monsters engage in combat while focusing on finding hidden wealth.

That’s an Order: When you’re out spelunking, you may give your monsters one of two commands. Scream “Gather round!” and they will rush to your side; cry “Go, go, go!” and they will look for nearby foes to engage in combat.

You Have Catapults and Dragon Daggers at Your Disposal

With the use of their Dragon Daggers and catapults, Erik and Mia can aid their allies in combat. Both may be used to assault foes and aid friends; while the catapults provide a variety of valuable assistance, the daggers have healing properties.

Attack creatures with the Dragon Daggers or use them to crack open crates and pots.

Erik and Mia can utilize the magic in their daggers to heal themselves if they become hurt.

To snipe adversaries that are out of reach, use the catapult. Pellets may be acquired via Axel’s workshop or discovered in chests.

Some pellets will heal your teammates, while others will strengthen them. The catapult may even be used while you’re moving!

Many opponents are vulnerable to certain elements, such as fire, or forms of physical harm. All of these weaknesses are easily exploitable with the correct pellet!

Recruitment Drive: Use a friend bullet to kill an adversary to make it more likely that it will want to join your gang. Because you never know what strong monster you’ll encounter next, be sure to always have a few on hand!

Use a Monster Medley to deal Major Damage.

Erik, Mia, and their monster henchmen will unleash a Monster Medley if they are successful in strategically chaining their blows together. For even more damage, keep up the combination!

Each monster has three or four separate skills. Even among monsters of the same species, they each have a unique set of skills, and the quantity of each skill might vary.

Your monsters are more than capable of selecting the appropriate skill for the circumstance, whether it be fighting a rival or aiding a friend.

Erik, Mia, and their friends have the ability to combine their attacks into a powerful Monster Medley if they time them properly.

Combine many attacks and skills to deal out enormous amounts of damage!

Erik and Mia will acquire medals with monster themes during their journeys, which they may wear to increase attributes like attack power and deftness. Keep a watch out for some since they may be hidden in chests or dropped by enemies.

Increase the level of your group to equip additional medals. Each medal has a unique impact and may be found in one of four grades: rainbow, bronze, silver, or gold.

Fire the Dragon at Your Enemies

Erik and Mia’s Dagger Gauge charges with each strike they deliver to the opposition. They will be able to unleash the dragon and use a highly exceptional technique—a one-of-a-kind super attack—once the gauge is full. These set-piece abilities are not only amazing to witness, but they can do a ton of harm.

Below Erik and Mia’s pictures is a dagger gauge that may be charged for up to three uses. One charge of the Dagger Gauge is expended when the Dragon is first released or when Erik and Mia employ their Wild Side power (see image to the right).

Meteoric Rise, a super attack used by slimes, does a ton of damage to all adversaries in the area.

After filling the gauge, tell your slime to unleash the dragon.

Show Your Wild Side: Using the Wild Side talent, Erik and Mia are able to release the dragon on their own. This unique skill activates the twins’ innate survival instincts, giving them a temporary boost to all of their stats and accelerating their pace. This power increases movement speed, enables destructive combinations, and may be used while moving. Conquer your wild side!

On December 9, 2022, Dragon Quest Treasures will be released on the Nintendo Switch.
