Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes – Technical Investigation

Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes – Technical Investigation

Back in 2020, the Suikoden series’ primary designers successfully funded Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, an ambitious RPG that combines 2D sprites in a 3D environment and has 100 distinct playable heroes.

The creators said at the time that the game would be targeting “Nintendo’s future system” rather than the Switch due to fears that the game would be too intense for the hybrid device. However, the team recently confirmed in a FAQ for the newly released prequel game Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising that they were now conducting a “technical investigation” into a possible Switch version of Hundred Heroes, which would connect to the Switch version of Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising like all other versions of the prequel on other consoles.

Nintendo Switch version still a thing?

While the release of Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes on the Nintendo Switch has not been announced, we are now conducting a technical inquiry into the development of a Switch version of the game.

However, if the Nintendo Switch version does not materialize, the creators have assured that players who buy the presently available Nintendo Switch version of Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising would be able to link it to Hundred Heroes on whichever Nintendo device it finally comes on.

If you buy Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising on the Nintendo Switch, you’ll be able to play the crossover content in Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes on any future Nintendo device.
