F-Zero GX producer – Would work on series if approached

A most requested franchise from Nintendo fans is of course F-Zero. The last title in the series was F-Zero Climax for the Game Boy Advance in 2004. Red Bull had the chance to interview Toshihiro Nagoshi who was the producer of the excellent F-Zero GX for the GameCube a title which we still hold dear in our heart.

Toshihiro stated that he would be interested in revisiting the series if he was approached by Nintendo and would be up for creating a once again challenging entry.

F-Zero GX producer Toshihiro Nagoshi quote

Mmm… Putting aside the odds of it happening, I must admit I have a lot of affection for F-Zero GX.

If the opportunity were to present itself, I wouldn’t mind. And in that case, I’d like to make it a challenging game. I believe that if Nintendo just wants a racing game that is ‘fun and accessible’, they already have Mario Kart for that purpose.

Yes please

All I can say is that I personally would love to see a new instalment in the F-Zero series. I loved playing GX on the Nintendo Gamecube and it took quite a time to master Master mode and the Very Hard story mode to earn the AX cup if I’m not mistaken.

For everyone who never played, if you can go so do, you will love it.
