Just recently, Type-Moon and Koei Tecmo made the announcement that Fate/Samurai Remnant would be released. During the Fate Project New Year’s Eve TV Special 2022, it was announced what the future project is going to be.
The game is formally classified as an action role-playing game (RPG).
About Fate/Samurai Remnant
It is intended that Fate Samurai/Remnant will be a continuation of the Fate world, which is already in existence and is most well recognized for the series Fate Stay/Night and Fate/Zero. The narrative of Shirou Emiya, a student who becomes embroiled in a conflict for the Holy Grail, was first told in the form of a visual novel at the beginning of the series. Since that time, the Fate series has grown into a large franchise that spans the whole history of humanity. There have been regular releases of games, films, and anime, as well as updates to the mobile app Fate Grand/Order.
During the Fate New Year’s event, the much-anticipated Fate Samurai/Remnant was presented to the public, along with reveals and explanations of other upcoming Fate projects. A short teaser for the game has been made available, although it does not include any video of real gameplay. The protagonist of the game is a young man who wields a sword and finds himself the target of an assault at some point during the feudal period in Japan. Following the successful deflection of an assault, a Command Seal emerges in the palm of his hand and a Servant materializes before him. The Servant defends him and inquires as to if he is the one who called for them.
In the year 2023, Fate/Samurai Remnant will become available for the Nintendo Switch.
