Sleepy Castle Studio has shown off Flynt Buckler Wakes the Sleepy Castle, a new adventure RPG that was inspired by the Paper Mario games. The project is set to come out on Nintendo Switch in the fourth quarter of 2023.

Only you, the adventurer Flynt Buckler, can help when a powerful curse makes the Sleepy Castle’s storybooks come to life. Dive into twisted stories, from sweeping sci-fi to noir murder mysteries. One minute you’ll be running away from Lovecraftian terrors, and the next you’ll be facing bad versions of the three little pigs.
The rules are always changing! In Flynt Buckler’s many different storybook worlds, there are exciting fights, lots of spoils, and surprises around every corner.

Sleepy Castle Studio says that this fall there will be a Kickstarter, which you can follow. But we’ve been told that even if the goal isn’t met, the game will still be released on Nintendo Switch because the team already has it up and running on the hardware. With the money from the campaign, Sleepy Castle Studio will be able to keep working on the game full-time and keep a steady production schedule.
