GalaxyTrail has announced that Freedom Planet 2 is coming to Nintendo Switch. The game is scheduled for release on Nintendo’s platform in summer 2023.
Freedom Planet 2 was first announced towards the conclusion of 2015. The project is presently completing its last stages of development and will debut on PC and Linux on September 13, 2022. Next year, console versions, including the Nintendo Switch, will follow.

Join the Avalice heroes as they confront their toughest challenge to far. An ancient horror has risen from the ocean’s depths. Merga, a water dragon from Avalice’s oldest and bloodiest conflict, has been liberated from her crystal cage as a result of the shattering of the Kingdom Stone. Once again, war is looming, but this time, the heroes are divided between opposing forces. Will the girls, whose friendships are put to the test, remain together as Bakunawa rises?
Features
- Each of the four playable characters has a distinct battle style: Lilac the Dragon (Speed Type), Carol the Wildcat (Brawler Type), Milla the Hound (Explorer Type), and Neera the Frost Knight (Power Type).
- Explore Avalice’s universe in Adventure mode. Explore a vast globe map packed with riches, landmarks, and more than one hundred distinct animal NPCs to interact with and categorize.
- In Classic Mode, you’ll go right into the action. A simplified navigation interface provides instant access to stages and other essential functions without the need for travel.
- Test your combat abilities in the Battlesphere. Once you reach the Battlesphere, you’ll face a range of challenges including familiar foes and monsters, as well as brand-new surprises!
- Guard from enemy strikes with the Guard button. If timing is not your strong suit, the Auto Guard option in the Assist options will cause your character to automatically block strikes if feasible.
- A new Revival mechanism provides you the opportunity to secure victory in very tight confrontations. It costs a stock, and two more hits will knock you unconscious once again.
- Enhance your hero’s abilities with customisable potions. Collect and combine a rainbow of ingredients that improve her vitality in many ways, such as by raising her stock count, shield durability, attack power, and speed, among other things.
- Numerous equippable objects may alter the game’s rules. Amulets and Charms provide beneficial benefits, but Brave Stones make fighting more difficult in return for more crystals.
