Retailer listings show that HORI will bring the Switch Split Pad Compact to the west.
The peripheral, which is called the Split Pad Fit in Japan, was just announced for the country, and it will start to show up in different designs this month. It’s an updated version of the Split Pad Pro, and its goal is to “give the feel of a full-size controller when held in your hand.” There are full-size analog sticks and a d-pad, as well as turbo functions and rear buttons that can be set to do different things. We don’t support motion controls, HD Rumble, NFC, or the IR camera.
Not all versions?
So far, the west has only confirmed the light gray x yellow and apricot red designs. There will be a few more colors and two special Pokemon designs for Japan. Here, you can find more information, including news about pre-orders for imports.
We know that it will come out on November 4, 2022. Also from Japan are the designs for Pikachu, Mimikyu, and Gengar. Last but not least, two more designs have been shown: Pikachu with Charizard and Pikachu with Lucario.
