About Imp of the Sun

Imp of the Sun is a non-linear 2D action-platformer set in a gorgeous Peruvian-inspired landscape, from the dazzling peaks of the Andean highlands to the thick Amazonian forests and more.

Nin, an Imp born from the Sun’s dying spark, is set on a quest to fight the Four Keepers and restore the Sun’s power, putting an end to the Eternal Eclipse before the world is plunged into darkness.

Life cannot continue without the Sun’s power, which was stolen years ago by the Four Keepers and kept in the furthest reaches of the Empire. The Sun creates Nin with its fading spark, sending him on a quest to restore the Empire’s equilibrium and bring back the light.

You have the power of the Sun’s blaze at your fingertips as a Sun creature. As you travel throughout the Sun’s Empire to fight the Four Keepers, hone your skills in simplified gameplay developed for fluid movement and combo-based combat, and unlock new powers to grow more powerful.

Discover the Empire’s four corners, from the Andean mountains’ brilliant peaks and lush Amazonian rainforests to dry, scorching deserts and the dark depths of the abyss. Every terrain and creature has been painstakingly hand-drawn and meticulously constructed, paying homage to the civilizations that once inhabited and dominated Peru.

Investigate, Collect, and Learn

Our forefathers kept track of their history using ‘Quipus’ artifacts. Collect Quipus to learn the narrative of the Eternal Eclipse and discover unique hidden goods inspired by Andean antiquities. Explore the Sun’s Empire and face one-of-a-kind, punishing bosses in whatever order you want, each with their own intricate mechanics and backstories.
