Grim Guardians: Demon Purge has been revealed by Inti Creates, the developer of Azure Striker Gun Volt and Gal Gun, for Nintendo Switch and other platforms.

Grim Guardians: Demon Purge is a 2D action platformer that seems to be influenced by Castlevania and Mega Man. The players assume the roles of two demon-hunting sisters with distinct powers and play styles as they explore an evil fortress that has overrun their school.
At the time of writing, no release date has been announced, although the game is currently in development for Switch, PC, and other platforms.
Grim Guardians: Demon Purge, a new 2D action game, has begun production at Inti Creates in preparation for its debut at the BitSummit X-Roads event on August 6 and 7 at Kyoto’s Miyako Messe.
Grim Guardians: Demon Purge focuses on two demon hunters who return to their school after a mission to discover a demonic palace in its place. In this 2D side-scrolling action game, players take control of both demon-hunting sisters. Players must learn the various powers and traits of each sister in order to tackle the difficult levels including monsters. Using the talents of the two characters, they’ll also be able to uncover different paths through each level, keeping playthroughs interesting.
Other features include two-player co-op with special actions, broad difficulty settings with the “Style System,” unique alterations on repeat plays, and, most significantly, the quality and difficulty that players have come to expect from Inti Creates games, but with a new gothic horror style.

Grim Guardians: Demon Purge’s stars are the long-range specialist Shinobu Kamizono and the close-range fighter Maya Kamizono. As they go around the castle and investigate the mystery of what happened to their school’s children, players will need to weigh the circumstances carefully while choose which sister to control.

Shinobu Kamizono (voiced by Emi Uema)
Shinobu, the eldest of the Kamizono sisters, exudes confidence yet is prone to casual errors. She specializes at long-range strikes with her rapid-fire submachine gun, dispatching demon enemies from a safe distance!
Maya Kamizono (voiced by Chinami Hashimoto)
Maya, the younger of the sisters, supports her strong-willed sister with her dependable demeanor. A technical close-range attacker who fashions origami weapons. Utilize her different weapons to do tremendous harm!
