Kirby 64 – Nintendo Switch Online – Game breaking bug in underwater levels

Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards was release through part of the Expansion Pack tier on Nintendo Switch Online, however gamers have reported a game-breaking problem.

The bug seems to be restricted to underwater levels. The revelation was revealed by Reddit user keyblademasternadroj, who noted that when players are struck by specific damage sources in the water, they stay stunned eternally. Unfortunately, the only option is to exit the level.

Kirby 64 has a game breaking bug in under water levels on NSO. Getting hit by certain damage sources under water causes you to enter hit stun forever, and you need to quit the level to fix it. I don’t remember this happening on original hardware. from NintendoSwitch

Nintendo Switch Online – N64 is still not perfect

It’s worth noting that the problem only appears on the Nintendo Switch Online edition and not the original N64 release. There’s no denying that certain N64 games were released in a sloppy form. When the service originally launched, gamers raised a variety of concerns and complaints.

The good news is that Nintendo has made progress over time. Visual improvements have been made to Zelda: Ocarina of Time, for example. A collision with Paper Mario has also been fixed. It’s very feasible that Nintendo may fix this Kirby 64 issue on Nintendo Switch Online.Â
