The physical release of Night in the Woods is finally going to happen, and it will come with a collector’s edition. This news comes more than three years after it was first reported that the release would take place. 2019 was the first year that we learned of any intentions for packaged editions. However, because of charges made against Alec Holowka, who worked on the game as a developer, composer, and co-designer, the event had to be postponed.
It would seem that the issues have been resolved, and that Limited Run Games will proceed with the production of the physical editions of Night in the Woods for the Switch. Fans will also be able to buy a collector’s version of the game, which will come packaged with Mae’s diary, an acrylic set featuring Possum Springs, art cards, a planisphere, and a great deal more.
About Night in the Woods
Mae Borowski, who dropped out of college, relocates back to her hometown of Possum Springs, a decaying mining town that she once called home, in the hopes of picking up the aimless life she once led and getting back in touch with the people she left behind. However, things are not the same as before. Both she and her companions have matured and undergone shifts since she was last there. The wind is becoming colder, and the leaves are dropping from the trees. As the light becomes less, strange occurrences have begun to take place.
In addition, there is something hidden in the forest.

Night in the Woods is an adventure game that places a strong emphasis on exploration, narrative, and character development. The game takes place in a beautiful, colourful landscape and has hundreds of people that the player may interact with. Shatter things, learn to play the bass, hang out with friends, walk on powerlines, leap across rooftops, and find out things you never requested to know about that are bizarre, fantastic, and terrifying. Beginning on December 16th, pre-orders may be placed for the physically distributed editions of Night in the Woods, including the collector’s edition.
