Square Enix announced that an HD-2D remake of Live A Live would be released for the Nintendo Switch on July 22, 2022. Takashi Tokita created the game for the Super Famicom, however it was never released outside of Japan. The fact that an HD-2D remake of Live A Live is coming to Nintendo Switch — and with a July release date in sight — is incredible.
The game also costs $49.99, indicating that Square Enix is approaching it as a significant Octopath Traveler-style effort rather than a Romancing SaGa 3-scale restoration.
