The video acts as the introductory cinematic for the game and provides players with a glimpse of some of the various individuals they will meet during their trip, as well as the locations they will investigate and the foes they will battle along the way. A musical backdrop is provided by the original song “Genfunkei,” which is sung by NaHo/QiSui and is responsible for setting the poignant tone. The cinematic also demonstrates the game’s stunning art style, which is characterized by its detailed, watercolor-inspired scenery and anime-influenced character designs.

About Loop8: Summer of Gods

Loop8: Summer of Gods is a role-playing video game that follows the protagonist, Nini, and his classmates as they fight against the Kegai, demonic forces who have brought mankind to the verge of annihilation. Nini was brought up on a defunct space station known as “Hope,” and now he has returned to Earth to spend the summer in Ashihara, which is one of the last surviving safe havens for mankind. Nini’s “Demon Sight” enables him to utilize his unique connection to the gods to reset the universe. This allows him and his friends to replay the 8th month over and over again until they either get it right or the Kegai completely overpower them.

On June 1st, Loop8: Summer of Gods will be released on the Nintendo Switch in Japan. After that, on June 6th, it will become available in Europe and North America.
