Now that version 2.3.0 of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has been released, we have more information on the adjustments that were made to the game’s balance. The information was gathered by the Mario Kart Blog, and the user Meester Tweester contributed it to Reddit.
According to the patch notes provided by Nintendo, version 2.3.0 “enhanced the performance of various characters and vehicle modifications.” On the other hand, it seems that there is more to the story than that.
The balance has been changed
It seems that practically all drivers have had a value of 0.25 added to their ground, water, air, and anti-gravity speed statistics after a recent software update (1 point). The characters Metal Mario, Gold Mario, Pink Gold Peach, Waluigi, Donkey Kong, Roy, Wario, Dry Bowser, Bowser, Morton, and big Mii are the only exceptions to this rule.
A number of characters’ mini-turbo statistics have been boosted by a value of 0.25 as part of the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe update, which is another feature that has been modified for the purpose of maintaining the game’s balance (1 point). This is true for Baby Mario, Baby Luigi, Dry Bones, the tiny Mii, Toad, Shy Guy, Larry, Peach, Daisy, Yoshi, Mario, Ludwig, Luigi, and Iggy. It is also true for the medium Mii.
Next, the mini-turbo statistic of every vehicle body has been increased by a value of 0.25, with the exception of the Pipe Frame, Varmint, City Tripper, Biddybuggy, Mr. Scooty, Landship, Streetle, Standard Bike, Flame Rider, Wild Wiggler, and W 25 Silver Arrow. These vehicle bodies have not been affected by this change (1 point).
The tires will need the very last round of adjustments. The mini-turbo statistic of all tires, with the exception of Roller Tires, Azure Roller Tires, Button Tires, and Leaf Tires, has been enhanced by a value of 0.25. (1 point).
