Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course DLC waves – Platforms of tracks confirmed?

The Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass DLC may have a better idea of which platforms will be included in future waves because of a leak that happened in the past.

In March, after the first wave came out, a Twitter user named Fishguy6564 posted a video on Twitter that showed cups with possible prefixes. It looked like Nintendo had already decided on all of the tracks from other games that would be added to this one.

Seems the initial things where correct

We still don’t have full proof, but the fact that the second wave was announced this week backs up the original theory.

In his video, you can see that it was right to say that the Turnip Cup would have tracks from Mario Kart Tour, SNES, N64, and DS. The same is true for the Propeller Cup, which has courses from the Tour, GBA, and Wii, as well as one spot that hasn’t been decided yet. The missing piece is for Sky-High Sundae, which will eventually be in Tour but will be in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe first. This is probably why it was left blank.

Nintendo has confirmed that Tour New York Minute, SNES Mario Circuit 3, N64 Kalimari Desert, and DS Waluigi Pinball are all part of the Turnip Cup. Tour Sydney Sprint, GBA Snow Land, Wii Mushroom Gorge, and Sky-High Sundae are some of the games in the Propeller Cup.

What type of platform tracks to expect

  • Rock Cup: Tour, DS, GBA, and 3DS
  • Moon Cup: Tour for GameCube,?, and 3DS
  • Fruit Cup: Tour, Wii, DS, ?
  • Boomerang Cup: GameCube, GBA, Tour, GameCube
  • Feather Cup: Wii, GBA, Tour, Wii
  • Cherry Cup: Tour, GameCube, Super Nintendo, ?
  • The Acorn Cup: Tour, Wii,?,?
  • Spiny Cup: Tour for GameCube,?, and Wii

While some the tracks aren’t listed, which could mean that they’re like Sky-High Sundae and will be new to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.

In the end, though, everything here is just a guess, and Nintendo could always change things along the way, especially since the Booster Course Pass DLC still has a long way to go all the way till the end of 2023.
