Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 – Costumes where supposed to come out earlier?

The earlier datamine info from Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order, which included details about the next batch of free costumes might turn out to be fact.

As it turns out, the datamined costumes (Miss Marvel, Miles Morales, Spider-Gwen & Venom) may have been originally planned to launch with the December 23rd update. Evidence for this comes back to a deleted image that was included in a Marvel.com article about the Rise of the Phoenix DLC update.

Marvel did a whoopsie?

As you can see (in the above image) it shows off all four datamined costumes as part of the December 23rd update. Although the image has since been deleted from the article, it still mentions Gwenom alongside other costumes that did make it to the game though;

Newly added costumes for a number of playable characters, including Punk Rock Storm, Old Man Logan Wolverine, classic Scarlet Witch, Gwenom, classic Blade, and more are now also available to MARVEL ULTIMATE ALLIANCE 3: The Black Order via the latest free update.

If the four datamined costumes were originally going to be included in the December 23rd update, this would atleast explain why Gwenom can be found as a boss in the Rise of the Phoenix DLC, even though the costume cannot be obtained in-game by players.

Removed but probably coming

Why the developers chose to remove the four costumes from the update remains unknown.

But probably it is safe to assume that these four costumes will eventually become available for players to obtain, given that they are still present in the game’s code.

If you are a fan of the Marvel universe seeing more costumes, characters etc become available in this title must be great, but are there things you still really want from the title?
