Capcom confirmed at TGS2022 that the upcoming Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection will have online features like online battles and chip trading with other players. Capcom also said that a voiced 3D Mega Man. EXE will be there to help players find their way through the game’s menus.

Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection is coming to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC in 2023. Get ready for online battles, chip trading, and more with a new.bat(ch) of information on features that are in the works.
We’re happy to confirm that all ten games in the Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection will have online features. This was just announced at Tokyo Game Show 2022 by the game’s director, Masakazu Eguchi, who many of you know as Mr. Famous.
We’ll let Mr. Eguchi—oops, we mean Mr. Famous—tell you more about it in this transcript of his talk at the Tokyo Game Show:

With the Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection, Mega Man Battle Network is back on the TGS stage. Since Mega Man Battle Network 6 came out almost 17 years ago, I’m so glad to be able to tell you more about Battle Network!
Since the Legacy Collection was announced a while ago, our team has been very inspired by all the excitement on social media. Now, I’m sure you’re all wondering about something… right? You’re right, the online works!
Don’t be afraid. We’re always linked, no matter what! We are working on adding online features to each game, such as online battles and chip trading. In this game, we’ll still be linked.
I’d love to tell you more about this beautifully remade lab coat, but that’s all I can say for now. We’ll share more details in a future presentation. “That’s all Mr. Famous has to say!”

Not all of the news we have to share today is about online features, though. Just like how Lan Hikari and MegaMan. Lan’s PET, or Personal Terminal, is a 3D MegaMan that is used to connect EXE files. EXE will talk to you as it takes you through the game selection screen and gallery. When you play on a handheld system, it’s kind of like having your own PET. If you want to talk to MegaMan, press… well, you probably know what to do.
