Minecraft – version 1.19.60 patch notes

The most recent update for Minecraft has been released, and users now have access to version 1.19.60 of the game. This patch focuses mostly on enhancing the overall quality of life, in addition to adding a few new features for experimental use. It’s also significant that over seventy problems submitted by the community have been resolved.

  • Vanilla Parity:
    • Mobs
      • The Ender Dragon, Iron Golem, Snow Golem, and Wither monsters now each have their own unique Spawn Egg item, which may be acquired via the use of certain instructions.
      • The Polar Bear Spawn Egg now has different coloring in order to differentiate itself from the Ghast Spawn Egg.
      • Hitboxes on Vex enemies are now centered vertically with their respective models (MCPE-257340)
      • Vex and Allay are now able to take their rightful places in Boats and Minecarts (MCPE-164441)
      • Correction made to the texture difference between Bedrock and Java’s Vex (MCPE-164227)
      • It is no longer possible to produce Slimes or Magma Cubes in areas with a height of two blocks or less (MCPE-46540)
      • Outside of water, spawning a Glow Squid will now cause it to spew particles.
      • When a saddle is used on a domesticated horse, donkey, or mule, the animal is now said to be equipped (MCPE-83815)
      • It is now possible to equip a domesticated horse that was previously unarmored by using Horse Armor on it (MCPE-163336)
      • It is now possible to outfit a domesticated Llama with equipment by using a Carpet on it (MCPE-163336)
      • Horses that have been tamed may now have saddles and horse armor equipped by dispensers.
      • Mules and Donkeys that have been tamed may now have Saddles and Chests equipped by Dispensers.
      • Llamas that have been tamed may now have Carpets and Chests equipped by Dispensers.
      • Saddles are now able to be distributed to Pigs and Striders via Dispensers.
      • Shears stored in a dispenser may now only be used to lop off one sheep at a time.
      • Snow Golems and Mooshrooms may now be cut using shears obtained from dispensers.
      • It is no longer possible for the Wandering Trader to engage in many Seed deals at the same time (MCPE-161780)
      • Endermen, Skeletons, and Wither Skeletons will no longer spawn at light levels 11 and lower in the Nether. Instead, they will only spawn at light levels 7 and below (MCPE-163701)
      • The saddle and chest textures of the Skeleton/Zombie Horse, Donkey/Mule, and other animals have been updated.
      • When celebrating a raid win, villagers will now take the necessary precautions to ensure that rain is able to travel through the block above them before shooting fireworks (MCPE-152386)
      • When unloaded, axolotls will no longer make a ticking sound from their dry out timer (MCPE-131041)
      • Husks can now fit in a place that is two blocks high, while baby Husks can fit in an area that is only one block high (MCPE-105369)
      • It is now possible for all gangs to go via the Wither Roses (MCPE-159212)
  • Blocks
    • Both the Crimson and Warped block sets now come with their own distinct sound pack.
    • Campfires no longer set players or creatures ablaze, although they continue to do damage to anybody caught in their path (MCPE-98931)
    • It is no longer the case that campfires will damage minecarts and boats (MCPE-109489)
    • The installation of Bamboo plants now functions in the same manner as in the Java Edition; it is no longer possible to grow Bamboo by clicking on the side of a Bamboo plant while holding a Bamboo item (MCPE-99587)
    • When being installed, bamboo sapling does not replace double plants any more (MCPE-99806)
    • It is now possible to cultivate pumpkins and melons on blocks made of mycelium and moss (MCPE-125932)
    • The screech sound that is produced by the Sculk Shrieker block may now be heard from a farther distance of 32 blocks (MCPE-163989)
    • If a Respawn Anchor is mined using Silk Touch or picked up, the charges on it will no longer be retained (MCPE-145682)
    • Currently, beacon effect particles may be seen through (MCPE-17679)
    • Conduit effect particles are now transparent (MCPE-93728)
    • When deposited on the ground, Redstone Dust will now make a clattering sound (MCPE-65423)
    • Doors made of wood and iron, doors made of wood and iron, trapdoors made of wood and iron, and fence gates all now employ the same opening and shutting sounds as the Java Edition.
    • Pressure Plates have been updated to match the Java Edition and now have varying sound frequencies depending on their behavior.
    • Wooden Buttons now have their own distinct click sound, which is consistent with Java Edition.
    • The color of the Frogspawn map has been adjusted to match the Java Edition (MCPE-159715)
    • Adjust the colors of the bed block map so that it matches the Java Edition (MCPE-40709)
    • Map colors of several blocks have been adjusted so that they now look to accurately match the Java Edition (MCPE-19228)
  • Experimental Features:
    • In addition to the experimental features that were introduced in update 19.50, various more experimental features will be available in the next update, which will be version 1.20.
    • To access this material, the “Next Major Update” checkbox in the world settings menu must first be enabled.
    • These features are currently during development and are considered to be works in progress at this time. There is a good chance that the layout and operation of these features will be modified before they are made public.
    • Please keep in mind that worlds that have employed experimental toggles will permanently have the “Experimental” label applied to them. It is strongly suggested that you maintain these experimental worlds as distinct copies from your primary saves. This article contains more reading that may be of interest to you.
    • Note Blocks with Mob Heads on Them
    • When a Mob Head is placed on a Note Block, that Block will now play one of the mob’s ambient noises when it is played by a player or powered by Redstone if the Mob Head was placed there.
  • Piglin Mob Head
    • When killed by a Creeper with a charged attack, Piglins will now fall over with their heads down.
    • When the Piglin Head is placed on a Note Block, one of the Piglin’s environmental noises will begin to play.
    • When powered by Redstone and worn by a player, the Piglin Head will move its ears in a pig-like manner.
  • Bamboo
    • Block of Bamboo has been added, and it can now be constructed by combining nine individual Bamboo.
    • Stripped Block of Bamboo has been added, and it can now be acquired by using an Axe on a regular Block of Bamboo.
    • It is possible to fashion two Bamboo Planks using either a Block of Bamboo or a Stripped Block of Bamboo. Fixes:
  • Both Stability and Performance are Present
    • Fixed a bug that might cause the game to crash if it was gliding through an End Gateway.
    • When an invalid condition, function, or pool entry was found in an entity’s loot table, the game will no longer crash when the entity is killed (MCPE-164623)
    • Multiple crashes that may happen when a player died while being afflicted by Withering have been fixed.
    • Fixed an issue that caused the Xbox to crash when making rapid-fire choices from the Select World screen using the Edit World Button
    • Fixed an issue that caused players to lose synchronization with one another in multiplayer games if they died and then saved and stopped the game before restarting it (MCPE-162630)
  • Gameplay
    • There was a glitch that caused players’ hitboxes and nameplates to be misaligned when they rejoined a world after dying and returning to the menu without respawning. This issue has been fixed (MCPE-162630)
    • When a player with a bad omen rides or glides into a settlement, raids will now correctly activate (MCPE-152774)
    • Fixed a bug that caused players to lose their position in moving blocks when they were pushed higher (MCPE-163725)
    • There was a bug that caused night to be skipped wrongly if the final player in a game was in the Nether or End. This has been fixed.
    • When a player enters the Nether or End, a night skip will now occur if there are no other players in the Overworld and they are all asleep.
    • Fixed an issue that caused the server to become unresponsive if a player dropped an item and then went to sleep at the same time (MCPE-162989)
    • Until the maximum number of orbs is achieved, orbs that are generated inside the same block will merge and combine their XP values (REALMS-10706)
  • Mobs
    • When entities are routed via End Gateways, they will no longer vanish (MCPE-164985)
    • Ravagers now have the ability to attack while standing on a variety of partial blocks, such as Mud (MCPE-162483)
    • When they don’t have anything in their hands, Vex now employ a different charging animation (MCPE-164490)
    • Items held offhand may now be rendered by Vex.
    • Correction made to the Vex’s lighting, which was inaccurate in the shadowy environs
    • It is no longer possible for players to see through terrain while riding a Horse, Mule, or Donkey at the edge of an area that is 2 blocks tall.
    • On the Peaceful difficulty setting, players’ villagers will now receive damage from lightning bolts, much like other enemies.
    • When they reproduce underground, tropical fish no longer take the surface density limit into account (MCPE-157485)
    • When riding a steed or vehicle, Evokers will now do an animation called “sit” (MCPE-43778)
  • Blocks
    • Doors triggered by redstone signals will no longer cause entities to be ejected from the world (MCPE-158971)
    • When you use the Pick Block capability on Fern and Grass, the game will now choose the appropriate item from the inventory rather than the one that comes first between the two of them.
    • When using the Pick Block feature on Acacia Leaves and Dark Oak Leaves, the game will now choose the appropriate item from the inventory rather than the item that comes first between the two.
    • Hoppers will now successfully gather goods even if they are attempting to pull in more than one sort of object (MCPE-38963)
    • Avoid having Pistons re-create moving blocks that were destroyed in the middle of their movement (MCPE-164804)
    • Blocks that were previously only visible when put on full or complete maps are now also visible when placed on partial maps or in the air (MCPE-159713)
    • When a block that is beneath scaffolding is demolished, the scaffolding will now cause vibrations and show particles (MCPE-163738)
    • Stone Walls may now be constantly constructed in a row without breaking their proper alignment in a line.
    • The sound effect that Stone Buttons make is now also produced by Levers (MCPE-163335)
  • Items
    • Fixed a bug that caused items to degrade too quickly while rapidly hitting creatures (MCPE-157150)
    • A bug that prohibited some Tripwire Hooks from becoming legal deals while negotiating with a Fletcher Villager has been fixed (MCPE-108195)
    • No longer will Ender Pearls transport a player when they are asleep (MCPE-161189)
  • Controls Operable Through Touch
    • Fixed an issue that prevented things from travelling in a roundabout way between the inventory in Creative Mode and the expanded inventory of players using the Pocket UI (MCPE-164479)
    • The forward button on the touch d-pad now works properly even while the strafe left/right button is held down, which was a bug that previously existed (MCPE-155199)
    • If the player uses a different input method and hovers over another tab while the inventory tab is active, the inventory tab’s hover state will now be reset.
    • Fixed an issue that prevented players from interacting with toast notifications using the touch controls for the joystick and the crosshair.
    • While the construct button is pushed using touch controls, it will now seem to be clicked down instead of up when it is being pressed (MCPE-162026)
    • Fixed an issue that prevented players in the Classic profile from removing goods from their inventory by clicking on the objects themselves (MCPE-162124)
    • With the implementation of the new touch controls, the touch focus circle has been revived (not in Crosshair mode)
    • Fixed an issue where, on certain devices, clicking the inventory button might cause the player to interact with the environment rather than open the inventory (MCPE-154499)
    • Fixed a bug that prevented players from scrolling the inventory panel when one row appeared off-screen (MCPE-159870)
    • Repeat crafting now has multiple degrees of intervals to choose from while hanging on to previously made things.
    • Eliminated the delay in camera movement that occurred whenever the player in crosshair mode swiped away from the attack and construct buttons.
    • The Nintendo Switch’s inventory screen touch interactions that weren’t operating correctly have been fixed.
    • If you are not using the conventional touch controls, the appropriate hint for dismounting boats and minecarts will now show.
    • Toast alerts may now be dismissed from inside the game on touch devices by swiping left or right.
    • There is no longer a settings area for Touch Control available on Xbox.
  • Graphical
    • The highlight selection does not now illuminate the whole card for transparent objects like saplings. V-sync settings may now be setup correctly in options for devices that do not use the ARM architecture (MCPE-110006)
  • Accessibility

    • When there are a high number of items in the list, the text-to-speech enumeration for the world on the Play screen, the choose language in the settings screen, the select controls in the settings screen, and the friends in the invite friends screen has been fixed.
  • User Interface
    • After fixing an issue that caused the mouse cursor to be visible and unusable to control the player camera on the HUD screen, which occurred when the menu screen was exited with a touch while the mouse was being moved, the mouse cursor should no longer be visible in this situation.
    • On the Furnace, Blast Furnace, and Smoker screens, the text was centered properly after having been slightly shifted to the left (MCPE-151597)
    • The player will now be prompted with a modal when they press the Feedback button on the main menu before being sent to their web browser.
    • Fix for a bug that prevented text fields from regaining attention after being deselected with a gamepad (MCPE-153842)
    • Once they have been chosen, text fields may no longer be deselected with a second click on the same field.
    • Fixed an issue where user interface elements on the Achievements page and the new Create New World screen were not triggering sound effects as they should have been (MCPE-163722)
    • A previously absent error screen that appears when trying to build a world while having insufficient free disk space has been added.
    • The loading screen with the Mojang Studios logo has had its quality improved on Xbox (MCPE-163036)
    • The “open chat” notice that shows when entering a planet has had any excess white space surrounding it removed (MCPE-162700)
    • Fixed a bug that caused the trade window of the Wandering Trader to display a profession when it shouldn’t have (MCPE-162576)
    • When creating a new world, players must now go to a different screen before creation in order to apply resource packs.
    • Fixed an issue that caused some resource packs, once downloaded, to generate an error message.
  • Android
    • When using an Android smartphone to play, the game, the screen will no longer switch off automatically during the loading process of a planet.
    • The home screen has been updated to be uniform across all devices running Android 12 and above as well as older devices (MCPE-151413)
    • Fixed an issue on Android devices in which the input from a controller may get stuck when the controller was detached.
    • On Android, the user interface will no longer flicker while an on-screen keyboard is shown (MCPE-142356)
  • Realms
    • Now functioning properly, the New Realm button may be found on the Realm details screen for two players.
    • When the user hovers over the user interface, the checkbox for Realms’ terms and agreements will now be highlighted.
    • If a player leaves the Download Resource Packs prompt without downloading the resource packs, they should be sent back to the planet selection page.
    • Fixed an issue in which selecting “Require players to accept resource packs to join” did not take into account the current status of the game (REALMS-10799)
    • After doing a Realm reset, the problem of the settings panel incorrectly displaying previously applied packs has been fixed.
    • Message of failure has been updated for players who are unable to join an owned Realms server due to it being out of date. The problem is now described in new message, which now includes instructions on how to fix the issue.
