About Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak

The Jungle section from Monster Hunter games’ second generation joins the quest! You may now go across the region’s picturesque sandy beach all the way to the thick and deep jungle that difficult monsters make home in Sunbreak.

Exciting hunts await you in the Jungle, with seasoned creatures and newcomers. When it comes to monsters…

We’ve already introduced a few creatures in Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak, but there’s lots more to come. Let’s start with a much-anticipated (and very excited) fan favorite.

Gore Magala, the main monster from Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate, is arrived! Many of you seasoned hunters have been clamoring for Gore Magala’s return, so hopefully this surprise had you on the edge of your seat. This terrifying six-limbed blind wyvern brings its trademark Frenzy Virus to the fight, which is distinguished by the black and purple mist it emits.

The Thorn Wyvern, Espinas, makes a triumphant comeback to the series. Because Espinas has only debuted in Monster Hunter Frontier, this may be your first encounter with it. Its poisonous pink horn at the front of its head is a major menace. And if that wasn’t enough, Espinas has the ability to launch lethal poisonous fireballs. This monster may seem to be dangerous at first appearance, but it enjoys having its beauty sleep and pressing snooze – absorbing a few assaults before ultimately waking up.

Is it some kind of cave demon? Nope! Shogun Ceanataur isn’t the only carapaceon appearing in Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak. We offered a brief glimpse of the returning Daimyo Hermitaur. When it uses its huge claws to construct a strong shield, your blows will be rendered ineffective. Those claws aren’t simply for protection; they have the potential to tear a hunter apart! With this one, concentrate and focus on your hunting tactics…

Hunters with keen eyes could have suspected the discovery of a new Rakna-Kadaki subspecies. We’re thrilled to finally reveal the specifics. Meet the Pyre Rakna-Kadaki, a fiery subspecies with flame-infused silk strands and, of course, superheated Rachnoid.

Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak will be available for the Nintendo Switch on June 30, 2022.
