Despite the release of the Nintendo Switch OLED model, speculations continued to surface regarding a possible Nintendo Switch Pro, an improved version of the Nintendo Switch with much enhanced processing and graphics capabilities.
Recently, the Japanese journal Nikkei published a fresh piece on the rumor. In an intriguing twist, the Nikkei piece asserts that Nintendo would not release any new gear for the fiscal year ending in March 2023. Nevertheless, as noted by Bloomberg writer Takashi Mochizuki, it is unclear if this information originated from Nikkei’s own investigation or from Nintendo President Shuntaro Furukawa, who was interviewed for the same piece.
Nikkei: there will be no new Nintendo hardware this fiscal year, which ends in March 2023. Not immediately clear whether that part of the article is from Nikkei's own reporting or what Nintendo President, who Nikkei interviewed for the story, said. https://t.co/HJVqk9Kbef

Not now but … 2024 seems just right
Given that Nintendo is currently experiencing supply chain challenges owing to continuing global events, Nikkei’s story is likely not all that shocking. But for us we have always been guessing 2024 is the year we get true successor to the Nintendo Switch, for it will be out since 2017, which is quite a lifespan.
